I absolutely love lizards so I was happy when I got to hold this orange little guy outside St. Paul’s Church.
The following 3 pictures send Justin into an hilarious fit of laughter for weeks. Even to this date it still makes him laugh. He calls things that are small “Catherine-sized”, so when he saw how little this tree made me look, he could barely contain his laughter!
A little further away – look how big those roots are!
Boom!!!!! I look like a miniature person! (Where sis she go?!?!?!)
Justin leaves our guesthouse early one morning to get us some snacks for the day. When he returns he tells me that he has somewhere to take me once I am dressed. He won’t say what’s there, or if it’s a shop, sight, or restaurant. He gives no clue except that it’s just down the road.
He obviously knows that I was at the back of the line when God was handing out patience, but still he taunts me this vague information!! I get dressed as quickly as I can, and constantly try to get some clues from him about where we are going. I try to trick him by saying that I need to know what the wear, etc. Nothing works!
We walked down the road, and then he stopped in front of a ring shop!
He had seen a few jewelry stores and decided that we should try on a few rings, and see if I like anything.
These are are smiles after we picked out our rings.
Catherine: “Can I wear mine now?”
Justin: “No, get a good look at it now, so that I can close the box and put it away until the right time!”
Catherine: “Are you kidding me?!?!?!?”
(I felt a kid who knew what their Christmas present was, but couldn’t play with it!)
We are so in love.
Wherever we walked in Melaka, we would hear the sound of these bicycle carriages before we even saw them. They were all colorfully decorated (totally over the top most of the time), and they blasted music as they drove along the peaceful streets. It was quite entertaining because the music ranged anywhere between Kenny G to The Black Eyed Peas. Justin and I would stop to dance as they passed by. This really made the drivers feel happy!
Peaceful river vibes.
We had lunch along the river. How could we not?!
The best travel buddy ever!!!!! 🙂
