Total weight gain: I managed to lose those nasty 3 lbs of water weight from the new years eve pizza feast in the first part of this week. I then lost another 1.5 lbs on top of that. So it seems that instead of picking up weight in the second trimester, I am losing weight. I assumed that this would happen because I was eating a ridiculous amount for about two months, and now I’m back to eating healthy again. Technically this means that I am losing even more weight than the scale shows since the baby and my uterus are growing every week.
I pray that baby is healthy and growing properly!
Stretch Marks? Using Bio-Oil from the start of the pregnancy. No stretch marks yet.
Sleep: No sleep issues at all. Enjoying the restful sleep… even some naps after work too.
Best moment of the week: Going for my first run. I literally felt like I was running on clouds. I had to purposefully remind myself to take things slowly, but I was over the moon to be running again – and feeling soooo good! Happy to be in a healthy place again.
Miss Anything? Cheese – Haha, I would really just like some cheese. If we haven’t told you this before, Asian’s don’t really do cheese. Sure there are places that we can find cheese, but its expensive and quite a effort to come by. I miss cheese, cheese options… so many options. I generally just miss having options. Variations. Choices. There’s none of that over here.
Baby Movement: Nothing yet, but waiting eagerly for that special moment!
Food Cravings: Nope – nothing yet.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Oily food (nausea) and wheat flour (heartburn). So obviously those two are out for now, which is great because they are both no good anyway.
Gender: All bets are still on a baby-girl, but we will know soon enough.
Labor Signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Clear skin, shiny hair, stronger nails, huge boobs! My lower abdomen feels heavy and full, but I guess that since baby is growing so rapidly, this is completely normal. I started having Braxon Hicks contractions this week too, but apparently this is normal and nothing to be concerned about since they are not painful. Seeing as I don’t have a doctor to talk to here, I have to google search my symptoms. To all my pregnant friends – Appreciate the fact that you have kind, caring, English-speaking doctors that are ready to answer all your questions. I honestly have nothing like that here.
Bellybutton in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Don’t bother wearing them because too much because they are a little heard to get off in the evening.
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound this week!!!!!!
