Anything making you queasy or sick: I felt queasy on Friday evening while we were lying in bed. I prayed that it wasn’t the nausea from the first semester returning. The following day we ate out and the feeling got way worse, possible aggravated by the food we ate. My stomach has not been good since then, but it’s slowly improving with each day. The thought of that first trimester nausea returning scares me to death because it was really hard to work full-time (teaching, no less) while feeling like that.
Gender: It’s a miniature Justin – What could be better?!
Symptoms: The week started out with no symptoms at all. No heaviness in my belly, and no tightness in my crotch. I still occasionally feel pain my pelvic area when I stay in one position for too long, but I’m either getting used to it or it wasn’t as bad this week. I can put on my shoes and socks without any issues – so I guess losing some water weight REALLY does make a huge difference in everything that I do. I have been feeling a little down and moody for a few days.
Belly Button in or out? In but slowly disappearing! I am kind of looking forward to an “outie”. I think that it looks cute on pregnant women, but I think Justin thinks it’s a bit weird. We’ll see how he reacts when (if) by belly button does go “POP!”
What I’m wearing: This week I found that my maternity pants were pretty tight and restrictive, so I went back to skirts. I can’t seem to get through a day without maternity tights because they seem to really support my belly. Without them I feel too heavy in the front. I’m so thankful to have found these, and I presume I will wear them right until baby comes.
Baby this week – The size of a large butternut squash! Sweet baby boy already measures about 15-16 inches long. Right now, he weights about 2.5 pounds and he’s still has a ways to go — He will probably triple in weight before we meet him! Since he’s growing so fast, he’s getting a little cramped in there. In the mornings I love to see his head pushing up on one side of my bellybutton. Baby is busy growing fast deposits under his skin, and his energy is surging because of it.
