Hmm… We really enjoy these wraps, and they are amazingly cheap and filling. We discovered them while out with a friend at a shopping mall downtown, and since then we like to get them when we are out and about, and in need of a snack. We never would have found them by ourselves since we can’t read Chinese, and we usually walk straight by this particular counter. Fortunately, we have it all figured out now and ordering this delicious wraps is as easy as pie!
The wrap in warmed on a round hot plate, then covered with egg. To cook the egg the wrap is flipped, and then flipped again to add some shredded vegetables (lettuce, spinach, red onion, coriander), spicy chili paste, and then some sort of oil-based dressing.
Finally the kind lady wraps it up, and it’s ready to go. We usually order only one of these and because it is so huge, we share it and have something else on the side. The whole thing only costs 7 yuan – that’s roughly $1 or R11 – and we take it home to heat it up in the toaster oven. It’s really spicy and tasty!
