A HurriCane at Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe.
Justin and I went on a dinner and movie date recently. He took me to Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe. This restaurant has many tasty, but highly calorific, meals. I tried the “Hurricane” cocktail, and I really enjoyed it! The straw was all torn up like a hurricane had hit it. Clever!
Our dinner was super yummy! We had Gater Tail (yes, alligator tail) and Rat’s toes. No, not real rat’s toes… we aren’t in China anymore 😉 Rat’s toes are shrimp and crab stuffed jalapeños which are battered and fried. To keep our meal (slightly) healthy, we also shared a salad.
Great meal! Awesome date!
We love to eat at Chili’s. Usually I order one of their yummy salads.
On this particular day, we order chips, salsa, and queso.
I have to admit that after looking up the calories in this dish once we got home, I will not be ordering that again! It’s delicious, but honestly 1,710 calories (101 grams of fat/ 147 grams of carbs) is just plain ridiculous for a starter or side dish. Well, for any meal actually. Even shared between four people you are looking at about 430 calories as a starter. CRAZY!!
On a healthier note, we have been making delicious omelettes at home.
This one was with egg whites only, and it was awesome!
Yum – We love the Frank’s Red Hot sauce! We never could find a good selection of sauces that we like while living in Asia, so it’s good to be in a place were we can appreciate the small things in life!!
I only discovered Ihop this year, and I enjoy going there. They have a good selection of food. We tend to stop there whenever we have to go to the airport to drop, or pick up, someone.
As you can see above, Justin enjoyed a huge breakfast on this particular day. Although you can’t see them, this meal also included pancakes. The chicken fried steak with gravy, over hash browns, with a side of scrambled eggs and pancakes comes to a whopping 2,070 calories.
I sure do love my omelettes!! This one has cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach.
