During our weekend visit to the city of Qingdao, we decided not to go for the long distance run that we had planned. Instead, we went wondering through the streets of Qingdao. We thought we knew where we were going, but we got hopelessly lost. It was a beautiful day, and the streets were pretty… so we didn’t mind! The Autumn colors made it all worth it.
No.6 Bathing Beach
Soaking up the winter rays!
This pier was built in 1891, originally as a wharf. It is 440 meters long, and there were quite a few tourists walking on the wharf, despite the chilly wind.
At the south of the pier, there is a two-storied pavilion called “Hu Lai Ko” (ripple diverting pavilion). Zhan Qiao Pier was made famous by being put on the Tsingtao Beer label.
